In March 2022, I started the Earn After Reading newsletter.

As an entrepreneur and serial inboxer (aka: I subscribe to new things daily), I realized my inbox was often full of daily marketing tools, sales emails, and promo codes but rarely ever about real and raw conversations. And I know I’m not the only one thinking (or seeing) these things.

So with little planning but a lot of effort, I created the EAR newsletter; a weekly conversation where I tell real-life stories, sometimes weird and long, always unhinged. Every story brings a little life lesson and encourages you to start discovering your best self.

But why me?

The question always goes, “but why should you read from me?” To keep it (somewhat) short… I took life by the horns in ‘95 and jumped into entrepreneurship early on, cutting my teeth as a pro photographer on the concert scene, photographing Title Fight, Joyce Manor and Seahaven, among other bands.

I went on to accept a role as communications manager for a flourishing non-profit organization in the Houston metro area. Following a devastating divorce and quarter-life crisis, I found myself fulfilled in a natural pivot to serve entrepreneurs with the marketing knowledge I had gained in my previous lines of work. I first founded The Social Circle, a mega-profitable virtual assistant studio and then, due to high demand, scaled my services into Chanel & Lee, a high-level systems and tech think tank serving the modern, multi-passionate CEO.

I live in Texas with my boyfriend Josh, raising our two kids. In my free time, I love to lift weights, build my excessive collection of thigh-high boots that I will certainly wear to the grocery store, and daydream of a Restoration Hardware-inspired home where toddlers and white couches can coexist peacefully.
